Kimi no Tomodachi (Your Friends) - Ryuichi Hiroki (2008)
The latest film from “Vibrator” and “Tokyo Trash Baby” director Ryuichi Hiroki tells the story of Emi, a young woman crippled in an accident as a child who teaches children with special needs at a “free school” and how her memories of childhood friend Yuka who died of kidney disease years earlier affects her to the present day.
Rokudenashi (Good for Nothing) - Kiju Yoshida (1960)
One of the founding members of the Japanese New Wave Kiju Yoshida debuted in 1960 with his film “Rokudenashi (Good for Nothing)” which tells how a group of student radicals lives change after they kidnap the secretary of a major company.
