Although the reviews for the third film in Shinya Tsukamoto's third installment in his Tetsup Trilogy have been mixed (I have yet to see it so it's impossible to make my own call) the buzz surrounding "Tetsuo the Bullet Man" continues to hum along. Tsukamoto's first Tetsuo film, 1989's "Tetsuo the Iron Man" helped launch the international interest in Japanese film during the past 20 years after all. So when the news hit the net this week that a Blu-Ray of "Tetsuo the Bullet Man" with English audio was going to be released by the folks at Happinet Pictures on November 4th, well, the Tetsuo buzz ramped up yet again.
The Blu-ray speacial features will apparently include an alternate ending with music composed by Chu Ishikawa, the theatrical trailer, storyboard art, image board, a making-of featurette, and behind-the-scenes photo gallery. Hopefully this will be the chance for Tetsuo fans worldwide to finally deliver their verdict on the film.
