"Thee Scene - Last Heaven 031011" to screen at Toronto's Canadian Music Week

A recent check of my email turned up a message from Twitch's Todd Brown about a Toronto Premiere coming up that both Japanese film fans and music fans won't want to miss. As we reported back in November a film of Japanese garage punk icons Thee Michelle Gun Elephant's final 2003 concert, titled "Thee Scene - Last Heaven 031011" was being released in Japan at the end of 2009. Here we are at the very beginning of 2010 and it looks like TMGE super fan Todd Brown has managed to bring "Thee Scene - Last Heaven 031011" to Toronto! It will be screening on March 13th at The Royal (608 College St.) here in the city as part of Canadian Music Week. This is so fresh off the film's Japanese theatrical release that it won't be screening with English subtitles, but if you check out the trailer below you'll soon discover that the raw power of Thee Michelle Gun Elephant needs no translation.
