Some people are totally inscrutable, but in the best way. I spent a bunch of time in Tokyo recently hanging out with Third Window Films' president Adam Torel and in amongst the shochu drinking and general merriment he never let drop his latest acquisition to Third Window Films' already very impressive film catalogue. Just this week the latest Third Window Films Newsletter made the rounds and what is the big headline? Third Window Films has acquired Sion Sono's latest film "Cold Fish"! Apparently Sono's grisly tale of a family man who makes the biggest mistake of his life after befriending a psychotic killer will be seeing a limited theatrical run in the UK in April and May and then will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the summer of 2011.
"Cold Fish" was one of the hottest tickets at this year's Tokyo Filmex and was a big hit at this past year's Toronto International Film Festival, but for those of you out there who have yet to catch it check out the trailer for "Cold Fish" below.
