Kokuriko-Zaka Kara - Goro Miyazaki (2011)

Hayao Miyazaki's son Goro brings his sophomore animated feature "Kokuriko-Zaka Kara" to Japanese theatres on July 16th. The film follows the day-to-day life and young love of Komatsuzaki , a school girl living in 1963 Yokohama, whose sailor father went missing at sea and whose photographer mother is absent.

The arrival of a mysterious girl in the lives of a nuclear engineer has them questioning there present and past in Japanese New Wave director Yoshishige Yoshida's 1970 film "Heroic Purgatory".
