Kakushi toride no san akunin (The Last Princess) - Shinji Higuchi (2008)

The classic Akira Kurosawa story of two villagers who get caught up in a war when they help a captured princess is returning to the big screen. Yes, you heard me right. "The Hidden Fortress" has been remade and this time around it's being released with the international title "The Last Princess". Stepping into the shoes of Toshiro Mifune's General Makabe is Hirsohi Abe, Princess Yuki will be played by Masami Nagasawa, but the two villagers are being combined into one, and he'll be played by Jun Matsumoto of the boy band Arashi. I'm sorry, but hasn't this already been remade? It was called "Star Wars"???? I have a bad feeling about this...
