I have to admit this is not brand new news here. It was announced back in December on Tokyograph that veteran cinematographer Daisaku Kimura would be making his directorial debut with "Tsurugidake: Ten no Ki", the story of the exploration of the Hida Mountains at the start of the last century, and that he'd assembled an awe inspiring cast: Koji Yakusho, Tadanobu Asano, Ryuhei Matsuda, Aoi Miyazaki and Teruyuki Kagawa.
When I saw this teaser trailer posted on YouTube though I knew I had to get it up on the blog to share with everyone. We only get to see a bit of Asano and Kagawa in this, but, man, this looks epic! Can't wait to see more when Toei releases the film next year.
