Anime News Network broke the news and now it's all over the web: the voice cast for the upcoming CG "Astro Boy" movie hs been announced and while I have mixed feeling about the prevelance of 3D animation I have to admit this is a pretty impressive crew. Joining Freddie Highmore (Finding Neverland) as the voice of Osamu Tezuka's most famous character Astro Boy will be Nicholas Cage, Donald Sutherland, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy, and Eugene Levy. David Bowers who previously directed the CG animated film "Flushed Away" is set to direct, but no firm release date has yet to be announced.
