ANNOUNCEMENT: "Detroit Metal City" to get North American premiere at TIFF'08 Midnight Madness

Genre fans in Toronto have been waiting with baited breath for today's announcement of the Toronto International Film Festival's Midnight Madness line-up and once again Colin Geddes has assembled quite the list, but a little light on the Asian cinema this year; but... and this is a BIG but... all of us Japanese film enthusiasts will be very happy to hear that Toshio Lee's big screen heavy metal manga adaptation "Detroit Metal City" will be getting it's North American premiere during the second night of Midnight Madness on September 5th at the Ryerson Theatre!

This one should be a lot of fun, and here's hoping that Kenichi Matsuyama and (dare I hope) Gene Simmons show up at the screening... Flash those devil horns over your head! RAAAWK!!!
