All night anime in Boston

by Chris MaGee

This is a really cool idea. Licensing and distribution company Resonance Features and the people behind the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival are teaming up to present Japanese animation fans in Boston with The Anime After Dark Film Festival, 12 hours of films that will run throughout the night from October 18th to to when the sun comes up on October 19th. Attendees are being encouraged to bring their PJs and blankets to the Somerville Theatre on Davis Square so they can cozy up and watch a great line-up of animated features: "Ghost in the Shell: Innocence" (above), "Grave of the Fireflies", "Millennium Actress", "Tekkon Kinkreet", "Cat Soup" and "Project A-Ko". Again, this is a really cool idea... and I'll guarantee you that as word spreads on this we'll see more all night film fests popping up.

Thanks to Anime News Network for the heads up on this.
