Here's something that fans of Japanese cinema in Toronto look forward to every year, the annual Toronto Japanese Short Film Festival. The folks behind TJSFF announced the line up for this year's fest yesterday and it looks great. Not only do we have a the return of fest favorites like Takashi Taniguchi with his animated film "Shigeo is handsome" and Isamu Hirabayashi with his film "Helmut" (above), but we'll also get a chance to see three new short films from "Samurai Fiction" director Hiroyuki Nakano, one of which, "Ferris Wheel", stars "Tetsuo the Iron Man" and "Doing Time" star Tomorowo Taguchi.
This year's Toronto Japanese Short Film Festival runs from October 7th to October 10th at the Innis Town Hall Theatre, 2 Sussex Avenue, on the University of Toronto Campus. Check out the full schedule and ticket info at the TJSFF website here.
