Word from Variety Asia Online that Hirokazu Kore-eda's latest film "Still Walking" has taken home the Golden Astor for Best Film at the 23rd Annual Mar del Plata Film Festival. Starring Hiroshi Abe, Kirin Kiki and Yoshio Harada the film tells the story of a family reuiniting for a weekend to commemorate the death of their eldest son. "Still Walking" also screened at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, but didn't manage to secure any prizes (a damn shame...)
Congratulations to Kore-eda-san, his cast and crew!
