Which Japanese films have been nominated for the Asian Film Awards?

by Chris MaGee

It's not just the Mainichi Film Awards and the Oscar nominations that got announced today. Jason Gray has posted the full list of Japanese nominees for this year's Asian Film Awards. This will only be the 3rd Annual offering for these awards having only been founded by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society in 2007 as a way to "recognize excellence of film professionals in the film industries of Asia." For the second time today I'm a little surprised that we aren't seeing "Departures (Okuribito)" all over these nominations, but then again these are for Asian film in general, not specifically Japanese films.
