The 2008 Kinema Junpo Awards are handed out at a ceremony in Tokyo

At the beginning of January Japan's oldest film journal, Kinema Junpo, announced their top picks for 2008 and yesterday the stars assembled at a ceremony in Tokyo to accept their awards. On hand were (from left to right): Kai Inowaki, Best New Actor for "Tokyo Sonata", Haruna Amari, Best New Actress for "Kodomo no Kodomo", Masato Sakai, Best Supporting Actor for "After School", Kyoko Koizumi, Best Actress for "Tokyo Sonata", Masahiro Motoki, Best Actor for "Departures (Okuribito)", Kirin Kiki, Best Supporting Actress for "Still Walking", Yojiro Takita, Best Director for "Departures (Okuribito)", and Kundo Koyama, Best Screenplay for "Departures (Okuribito)".
