About a month ago we told you about a new documentary from "Ringu" and "Dark Water" director Hideo Nakata called "Foreign Filmmaker's Guide to Hollywood". That title pretty much says it all with the film exploring what it actually takes to make a film in the Hollywood system. Nakata got a taste of that when he was asked by DreamWorks to take over from Gore Verbinski and remake his own sequel to his original horror classic "Ringu".
Now Todd Brown at Twitch has snagged the full trailer for the doc which will be getting its premiere next month at the Image Forum in Shibuya, Tokyo. Watch as Nakata reveals the insanity that occurs behind the scenes of a major Hollywood production! Listen as he hears filmmaking war stories from his fellow J-Horror director Takashi Shimizu! Marvel as nakata receives a rather painful looking massage in his hotel room! And all set to the stirring score of Gustav Holst's "Mars" from The Planets!
Enough of my over-dramatics. Click here to see it for yourself.
