If you're a fan of Takashi Miike, Sion Sono or even Noboru Iguchi then you'll either have heard of guro manga artist Shintarō Kago before, or you'll most likely fall in love with his work. The 40-year-old Tokyo native draws some truly disturbing stuff involving wild body modifications, mutilations and very creative sex and violence. He's worked his twisted sensibilities into the manga series "Super-Conductive Brains Parataxis" for Weekly Young Jump and has had numerous exhibitions of his drawings, one of which that took place at Tokyo's Vanilla Gallery in 2007 was entitled "Unsanitary Festival in the Cool of the Night". Ooookay...
Now word comes from Pink Tentacle that Kago has started up his own YouTube channel featuring a handful of his animated and live-action short films and of course the weirdness and violence carries through. Just check out the short clip titled "Terror of the Golf Course" to see what I mean. The brave souls among you can check out all Kago's videos at his YouTube channel here.
