A couple days ago I got an email from the folks at Regent Releasing with the heads up that Kiyoshi Kurosawa's critically lauded and award-winning drama "Tokyo Sonata" starring Teruyuki Kagawa and Kyoko Kozumi would be opening at the Lincoln Plaza Cinema in New York City on March 13th. If you don't live in The Big People don't worry though. Regent has rolled out their full theatrical release schedule for Kurosawa's story of a fragmented Japanese family and the secrets they hide from each other and currently there are 10 U.S. cities slotted in with West Hollywood, Chicago and Honolulu being among them. You can find the full list at the official website that Regent has set up for the film here. So far there's no word of any Canadian cities being added, but we'll keep our ear to the ground and let you know if there that changes.
