Equinox Flower - Yasujiro Ozu (1958)
The director of such classics as "Tokyo Story" and "Late Spring" was famously reticent to adopt new technology, but in 1958 Yasujiro Ozu finally gave in and directed his first full colour film, "Equinox Flower". Starring Yoshiko Kuga, Shina Saburi and Kinuyo Tanaka it tells the story of the daughter of a professional matchmaker who decides she's better off finding a husband by herself.
