Aoi Miyazaki lends her voice to the Disney nature documentary "Crimson Wing"

by Chris MaGee

Recently the Walt Disney Company has gone back to their roots and started producing nature documentaries as they did in the 60's and 70's under the new banner DisneyNature. As part of this push they are partnering with Toho to release their 2008 film "The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos" in Japanese theatres this coming August. The documentary directed by Matthew Aeberhard and Leander Ward about the of pink flamingos of Lake Natron in Tanzania will be narrated by 23-year-old actress Aoi Miyazaki (above). The star of such films as Kankuro Kudo's "Shonen Merikensack" and Shinji Aoyama's "Eureka" says that she'd never seen the lives of flamingos presented in this way, and that "children and parents will feel the same way" upon seeing it.

Thanks to Cinema Today for this bit of news.
