We reported back in December about how Oscar-nominated actress Rinko Kikuchi had been cast in Spanish director Isabel Coixet's upcoming art house thriller "Map of the Sounds of Tokyo" as Ryu, a quiet Tokyo fishmonger by day, but a deadly gun-for-hire by night. Now that we're on the eve of the 62nd Annual Cannes International Film Festival, and "Map of the Sounds of Tokyo's" international premiere there, the full trailer for the film which co-stars Takeo Nakahara, Sergi López, and Min Tanaka has shown up online and Nippon Cinema has got it.
To see Kikuchi in action, and most importantly to hear some really haunting sound design and editing, then head here, but beware some nudity. This one isn't quite work safe.
