Shikisoku Generation - Tomorowo Taguchi (2009)

Star of such films as Shinya Tsukamoto's "Tetsuo the Iron Man" and Daisuke Tengan's "The Most Beautiful Night in the World" actor, musician and director Tomorowo Taguchi brings us his sophomore directorial effort "Shikisoku Generation". Based on Japanese pop culture guru Jun Miura's semi-autobiographical novel the film follows a young man who in 1974 travels to the town of Okinoshima in the Oki Islands searching for sun and sex.




Violent Streets - Hideo Gosha (1974)

A Spanish-themed club called "The Madrid" is the scene of a battle between warring yakuza clans in Hideo Gosha's "Violent Streets". It's up to recently released gangster Egawa (Noboru Ando) to fight off the encroaching Kansai gangs who want his club and his territory. Also stars such genre favorites as Akira Kobayashi and Tetsuro Tamba.
