We've been following the upcoming animated film "Musashi: The Dream of the Last Samurai" since it was first announced in October (read our full coverage here). The story of one of the most famous samurai in Japnese history as chronicled in a script by "Ghost in the Shell" director Mamoru Oshii? How could we not cover that kind of news. Now word has come via Tokyograph that the Mizuho Nishikubo directed film will be screening at not one, but two major film festivals this summer. First up "Musashi: The Dream of the Last Samurai" will screen in Korea at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival which runs from July 16th to July 26th. If you miss the screening there, and you're independently wealthy or have a ton of frequent flier miles, you can catch it in Switzerland at the the 62nd Locarno International Film Festival which runs from August 5th to 15th. Now I wonder if us lucky folks in Toronto will get a chance to see "Musashi" at this year's Toronto International Film Festival... One can only hope for a hat trick, right?
