Little does he know that the stake on board are much higher than he bargained for. "Kaiji" is due out in Japanese theatres on October 10th.

Season of the Sun - Takumi Furukawa (1956)

Based on Shintaro Ishihara's groundbreaking 1955 novel about middle-class youth endulging in sun and sex in Japan's Shonan Beach area which started the "sun tribe" trend, similar to the juvenile delinquents of "Blackboard Jungle" and "Rebel Without a Cause" in the U.S. This film is notable for the screen debut of Ishihara's brother, Yujiro, in a supporting role. He would go one to star in the other seminal "sun tribe" film "Crazed Fruit" released later that same year.
