Is that a Space Battleship Yamato in your pants or are you just glad to see me?

We've seen some weird tie-in products come out for Japanese films, especially animated films. Promotion sword guards, canned bread, theme toilet paper, but this one kind of tops them all in my books.

To mark the opening of the brand new "Space Battleship Yamato: Rebirth Chapter" on December 12th a series of "Space Battleship Yamato" boxer/ briefs are being marketed in Japan at Aeon Group shopping centres. The underwear feature logos, phrases and multi-coloured depictions of the the space cruiser from the classic 1970's TV series which will be getting a revisit through this new film. I think my headline to this story says it all really. I mean what interested partner wouldn't be curious to see your Space Battle Ship Yamato coming through the fly of these underpants, right?
