Here's a fun gallery posted over at Patrick Macias's blog An Eternal Thought in the Mind of Godzilla that gives us a bit of a snapshot of some promotion for a major Hollywood blockbuster in Japan circa 1975. The film in question is Steven Spielberg's suspense classic "Jaws" and the gallery covers selected excerpts from it's gekiga manga adaptation published in Japan in the same year. Pretty amazing artwork, even if it does take some liberties with its representation of the film's three lead stars, Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw, especially the latter whose sea salt character Quint looks more like some kind of ginger-haired Irish bodybuilder on the cover of the manga. Follow the link above to see what we mean.
