It was only lat week that news broke about the title and a few tantalizing plot details of Takeshi Kitano's 15th feature film "Outrage" hit the net. Now full plot details have arrived from Don Brown of Ryuganji (via Andrew Mack at Twitch). Brown reported that Office Kitano, Kitano's production company's website, has just opened an official site for the "Sonatine" and "Hana-Bi" director's return to yakuza films, and Don was kind enough to translate the plot synopsis from it for us all:
"The story begins with Sekiuchi (Kitamura Soichiro), boss of the Sannokai, a huge organised crime syndicate controlling the entire Kanto region, issuing a stern warning to his lieutenant Kato (Miura Tomokazu) and right-hand man Ikemoto (Kunimura Jun), head of the Ikemoto-gumi. Kato orders Ikemoto to bring the unassociated Murase-gumi gang in line, and he immediately passes the task on to his subordinate Otomo (Beat Takeshi), who runs his own crew. The tricky jobs that no-one wants to do always end up in Otomo's lap..."
Sounds like your classic, convaluted yakuza eiga plot, which is a good thing. At least we know that in terms of narrative Kitano isn't going to try and deconstruct this film like he did with his previous three films "Takeshis'", "Glory to the Filmmaker!", and "Achilles and the Tortoise". Now we just need more promo stills and a trailer to whet our appetites.
