Lost Girl - Daisuke Yamaoka (2009)

When a woman named Ryoko (Makiko Watanabe) becomes a virtual shut-in, a prisoner of an eating disorder it takes her husband's love and his preparation of gourmet meals to try and bring Ryoko back into the world. Things don't go as planned and her husband Daichi (Hiroshi Yamamoto) discovers that there is more going on with Ryoko than just a phobia about food.




Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind - Hayao Miyazaki (1984)

Hayao Miyazaki adapts his own manga, an eco-adventure set in an alternative reality where the world is being slowly eaten alive by a poisonous forest inhabited by giant insects. It takes a heroic young princess named Nausicaa to step into the middle of a battle between powerful kingdoms to help save them from mutual destruction and their fears of the Forest of Decay.
