Zebraman 2: Zebra City no Gyakushu - Takashi Miike (2010)
We've already had the teaser trailer for Takashi Miike's sequel to his tongue-in-cheek 2004 superhero film "Zebraman", but now comes the full theatrical trailer that's even cheekier. With a screenplay by Kankuro Kudo (Ping Pong) "Zebraman2" takes up the story in 2025 with Shinichi Ichikawa, (Sho Aikawa) a.k.a Zebraman must not only recover from amnesia, but battle against dark forces in Zebra City and a mysterious pop star called Zebra Queen.
Poppoya: Railroad Man - Yasuo Kohata (1999)
Winner of nine Japanese Academy Awards Yasuo Kohata's "Poppoya: Railroad Man" stars screen legend Ken Takakura as a porter at a remote Hokkaido railway station that is slated for closure. Through a series of flashbacks he revisits his many years working at the station and specifically three women he has encountered. Co-starring Ryoko Hirosue, Shinobu Ôtake, and Masanobu Ando.
