Thriller Restaurant - Masayuki Ochiai (2010)

The summer is the time for ghost stories in Japan - What better way to chill the summer heat out of you? This summer "Parasite Eve" and "Infection" director Masayuki Ochiai has helmed a live-action screen adaptation of the kids book series "Kaidan Restaurant". Through a mix of animation and special effects Ochiai takes us into a restauarnt haunted by every kind of ghoul and yokai. "Thriller Restauarnt" hits Japanese theatres this month.




Tantei Monogatari - TV Series starring Yusaku Matsuda (1979-1980)

Okay, this isn't really a trailer, but the opening to "Tantei Monogatari (Detective Story)", the Nippon Television Network series that starred Yusaku Matsuda as Shunsaku Kudo, the smart dressing, scooter-riding private eye who's never afraid to take on a dangerous case. The series ran for a year and paved the way for Matsuda's iconic big screen roles in "The Beast to Die" and "Resurrection of the Golden Wolf".
