Kane Kosugi - 007 Asian style!

by Chris MaGee

Here's a story that I know our Matthew Hardstaff is going to love! Tokyograph is reporting that 35-year-old Kane Kosugi (above), the star of such films as "Godzilla: Final Wars" and the Jet Li star vehicle "War" is set to star in a new film titled "Silent Storm" that its producers are saying will be "the Asian version of the James Bond". "Silent Storm" is a Japanese/ U.S./ Korean/ Hong Kong co-production that will have Kosugi high-kicking and round-housing international spies while winning the hearts of a bevy of beautful women. No director or additional cast members for this action-spy extravaganza has been announced yet, but hopefully will be shortly.

Many martial arts fans will know that Ken Kosugi is the sin of Japanese martial arts legend Sho Kosugi whose films such as "Black Eagle" and "Blind Fury" (as well as a role in the recent "Ninja Assassin") have made him an audience favorite across Asia and around the globe. Thanks to Sankei Sports for the above image of Kane Kosugi doing what he does best.
