Story of Sada Abe to return to the screen?

Sada Abe was a former-prostitute who in 1936 famously killed her lover during a session of erotic asphyxiation and then cut off his gentials in a fit of passion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sada_Abe). She served 5 years for the crime and became one of the most notorious murderers in Japanese history. Her story has been adapted to the screen first in 1975 by Noboru Tanaka in "A Woman Called Sada Abe", then again the next year in nagisa Oshima's sexually graphic classic "In the Realm of the Senses". The last time Sada came to the big screen was in 1998 in Nobuhiko Obayashi's "Sada".

Well it looks like Jason Gray has a lead on a possible new film adaptation of her story on his blog (http://jasongray.blogspot.com/) but although it sounds like he knows which director and star are attached to the project he didn't post them. Never fear though... as soon as I hear back from him the mystery will be solved!
