Grady Hendrix of Kaiju Shakedown (and of course Subway Cinema) has revealed the line-up for the 7th Annual New York Asian Film Festival and it looks like there will be healthy representation of nihon eiga.
New Yorkers will get the chance to see the Takeshi Kaneshiro starrer “Accuracy of Death (Sweet Rain), The “Death Note” prequel “L” directed by Hideo Nakata, “Dainipponjin” a film that is the dictionary definition of hilarious (or so my friends who saw it at TIFF last year say), both “Always” and “Always 2”, Jô Odagiri in “Adrift in Tokyo”, and a leaner, punchier re-cut of “Sukiyaki Western Django”.
The fest will run June 20th to July 6th.
