There was a bit of synchronicity at play last week. I had been writing about Tadanori Yokoo, the famed graphic designer and pop artist in the context of his starring role in Nagisa Oshima’s “Diary of a Shinjuku Thief”. A few days later I joined a Facebook group for underground and art animation from Japan and I posted a link to one of a trilogy of animated films that Yokoo produced during the mid-60’s, so I thought why not post all three of the films here for you to take a look at. Fascinating stuff.KISS, KISS, KISS (1964)
Kachi Kachi Yama (1965)
Tokuten Eizou Anthology NO. 1 (1964)
