ANNOUNCEMENT: Koji Yamamura's "Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor" to get Toronto Premiere

It's not just "Genius Party" at this year's Worldwide Short Film Festival. This year's fest is also featuring a special one night programme called Emerging Auteur Animators on Friday, June 13th at 7:30 p.m. at the Cumberland. You'll get a chance to feast you eyes on the works of 16 Japanese animators including Famed filmmaker Koji Yamamura's "Franz Kafka's A Countrry Doctor". Based on the 1919 Franz Kafka short story the film relates the story of an elderly doctor who makes a horrific midnight housecall to a small village. This film has cleaned up at festivals around the world, winning best short film at the Mainichi Film Awards, the I Castelli Animati Festival, The Japan Media Arts Festival and the Ottawa International Animation Festival.
