Twitch has got the scoop once again and have posted the new teaser trailer for the omnibus film “R246 Story” about the further adventures of our favorite little droid R2D2 as he opens a ramen stall in downtown Tokyo… No, sorry that’s not what’s it’s about!
Each of the six short films in “R246 Story” literally follows the 122.7 kilometre long Route 246 highway that runs from Chiyoda Ward's Miyakezaka district, through Tokyo and onto Numazu City in Shizuoka Prefecture. Directors Tadanobu Asano, Shidou Nakamura, Genki Sudo, VERBAL (member of Japanese hip-hop crew m-flo), rapper Ilmari, Yusuke Santamaria all bring their own takes on the traditional road movie to the project.
The teaser doesn’t reveal much, so here’s hoping we get a full trailer before the film hits Japanese theatres later this year.
