Nekonade - Mika Omori (2008)
The hardest working man in Japanese cinema breaks W.C. Fields' old adage "Never work with kids or animals" in his upcoming film "Nekonade". Osugi plays a hard-as-nails personnel manager who's in charge of ruthlessly downsizing the IT company he works for, but on the way home from the office one night he takes pity on a stray kitten and takes it home, secretly caring for it and subsequently getting a major attitude adjustment.
The Man Who Stole the Sun - Kazuhiko Hasegawa (1979)

Bunta Sugawara plays the police officer that must stop this madman before he unleashes unimaginable destruction on an unwitting public.
