CGI isn’t easy, just ask Tetsuya Nakashima. His much anticipated film “Paco and the Magical Picture Book” that follows a young girl who has lost her memory after a car accident and her recovery in a magical hospital took over a year to produce including months of post-production work on the whimsical CGI effects; but Nakashima and his cast that includes Koji Yakusho, Anna Tsuchiya, Ryo Kase, Satoshi Tsumabuki, and young newcomer Ayaka Wilson can all breathe a collective sigh of relief. “Paco” is now complete and to herald its September 13th release the film was screened today at Tokyo International Forum in the Ginza. Following the screening the cast posed for a few pics (which you can check out over at Variety Japan).
Besides today’s opening the folks at the Japanese language movie site, Cinema Today have scored a dozen new images from “Paco” including this one of Anna Tsuchiya’s nurse character reading to a grasshopper-costumed Sadao Abe. Check out all the images here.
