Well, any of you who made your way down to Fan Expo 2008 this weekend will have probably strolled past the Toronto After Dark Film Festival's booth and got a chance to check out the first eight films they have lined up for this, their third year scaring the bejeezus out of Toronto. You would have also seen that Adam Lopez and crew will be holding the Toronto premiere of Yosihiro Nishimura's "Tokyo Gore Police", but what you may not know is the a little group called The Toronto J-Film Pow-Wow will be one of the community sponsors co-presenting the screening!
That's right, folks! This October come out to catch Eihi Shiina (of "Audition" fame) as the cop out to destroy evil mutants known as "engineers" who are trying to take over a near future Tokyo. I told Adam that I think this is a perfect film for After Dark and one that's going to draw a huge crowd... right everyone???
The Toronto After Dark Film Festival hits The Bloor Cinema October 17th until October 24th. Full details on "Tokyo Gore Police" from Matt Hardstaff in his review here and for those who love a little bloodletting check out the trailer below:
