The first look at Satoshi Miki's "Instant Numa"

by Chris MaGee

At the end of July we reported that director Satoshi Miki would be following up his critically acclaimed film “Adrift in Tokyo” with the comedy “Instant Numa” about an unemployed O.L. (office lady), played by Kumiko Aso, who opens up an antique store with the help of her friend played by Ryo Kase.

Well, the first images from the production currently taking place in Yokohama have surfaced online and feature Aso and Kase in character as Haname Jinchoge, the proprietor of the antique shop and Kazama, her street punk pal.

Follow this link to Walkerplus.com (in Japanese) to see all the pics including shots of the antique shop set that looks like a pack rats wet dream.

“Instant Numa” is set for a 2009 release.
