Yatterman - Takashi Miike (2009)

Second teaser trailer for Takashi Miike's big budget live-action remake of the 1970s animated TV series "Yatterman". Gan-chan and Ai-chan (to be played by Sho Sakurai and Saki Fukuda) are the Yatterman (Men?) who must go up against the villainous Dorombo Gang in their pursuit of a legendary gem that will lead its owner to the largest deposit of gold on Earth.




Intentions of Murder - Shohei Imamura (1964)

Based on the true story of a woman, Sadako (Masumi Harukawa), who is not only assaulted and raped in her own home, but who continues to be harrassed by her attacker (Shigeru Tsuyuguchi) while trying to defend her honour in the eyes of her family and unfaithful husband (Kô Nishimura) "Intentions of Murder" has been named by critics as Shohei Imamura's masterpiece as well as one of the most important films of the Japanese New Wave.
