Sadao Abe and Kanuro Kudo to reunite for comedy "No Tears"

There aren't many details out on this yet, but here's some good news for fans of last year's zany comedy "Maiko Haaaan!!!" Kankuro Kudo, who penned the script, and the film's star comedian Sado Abe, will be reuniting for an upcoming comedy titled "No Tears (Naku Monka)". The project was recently announced by Toho Studios as part of their 2009 line-up of films. No word as to whether this will be simply a screenwriting credit for Kudo or if he will be stepping behind the camera as he's done for "Yaji and Kita: The Midnight Pilgrims" and the upcoming "Shonen Meriken Sakku". More details as they become available.
