The exact opposite of peacful conflict resolution

by Chris MaGee

Earlier in the week I was writing about how many violent high school girl movies there seem to be coming out of Japan recently, but "Yo-Yo Girl Cop", "The Masked Girl" and "The Machine Girl" ain't got nothing on these two kids!

This short film "Kanfuu Joshi-kousei" or "Kung Fu High School Girls" was shot back in 2007 as part of the promotional blitz for a new type of QR code, the square barcodes popular in Japan that people can scan with their cell phones to obtain information. The video has to high school girls arguing over wither Osamu Tezuka's "Black Jack" manga was created by foreigners (gaikokujin) or by the Japanese (Nihonjin), but this isn't any school girl squabble, this is an all out martial arts battle! And a hilarious one at that! It takes a boy riding a bike and wearing a QR barcode on his head to break thing up. "Scan me, and you'll find the answer!" he keeps yelling.
Funny stuff, but remember all of you at home, these are specially trained Japanese high school girls! Don't try this at home!

Thanks to Tokyo Mango for this video.
