Here's a story that I simply couldn't pass up, despite it not really having to do with anything film-related. An Ibaraki man has recently completed building a giant robot made in the shape of a rhinoceros beetle. Eleven meters long and weighing fifteen tons, the vehicle took eleven years to make. It can be driven either from its cockpit or via remote control, can carry passengers and lumbers along the ground through the use of its legs and wheels that help support its weight.
