News today from Tokyograph about a new film from Hitoshi Yasaki, the man who brought us the critically-acclaimed 2006 film "Strawberry Shortcakes". Yasaki is currently adapting Naoki Prize-winning author Kaori Ekuni's 2006 novel "Sweet Little Lies" with Nao Omori (above left) and Miki Nakatani (above right) as a married couple whose relationship has seen much better days. Both have not had sex with each other for three years, but that doesn't mean they haven't had sex. Omori's character Satoshi, an IT worker, is having an affair with a university student played by Chizuru Ikewaki, while Nakatani's character Ruriko, who runs a company that makes teddy bears, is also having an affair with an older man played by Juichi Kobayashi.
You can check out a full gallery of promotional stills from "Sweet Little Lies", due out in Japan next year, at Sankei Sports. Thanks to Nippon Cinema for additional plot details on this story.
