Fumihiko Sori's "To (2001 Nights )" gets a teaser trailer

It was only a couple weeks back that news broke about "Ping Pong" and "Vexille" director Fumihiko Sori's upcoming outer space adventure "To". Based on Yukinobu Hoshino's manga "2001 Nights (2001 Ya Monotogari)" it chronicles humanity's bold push to conquer space. Now, Quiet Earth has scored the teaser trailer for the film. Things start out fairly impressively with a loving pan across the hull of a massive spaceship in orbit around Earth, or at least an Earth-like planet, but once we actually start seeing some action and character design, well it left me a bit underwhelmed. The quality of the CGI looks about on par with a video game, not really something that I think many audiences dazzled by Pixar and the like will have a lot of patience for. Then again, that's just my opinion. Check out the trailer below and make your own call on this.
