Sion Sono’s “Cold Fish” May Be Turned into…a Video Game?

by Marc Saint-Cyr

Well, here is a bit of strange news. In an interview at My Big Fat Geek Running, video game director Goichi Suda (AKA Suda 51) (above) spoke of a possible collaboration further down the road with “Love Exposure” director Sion Sono. He spoke of a dinner meeting the two of them had last year in which Sono expressed interest in an adaptation of his next film into a video game. The meeting having taken place after “Love Exposure”’s completion, that next film would be Sono’s upcoming thriller “Cold Fish.” Now, being based solely on a discussion between the two men, this story should only be considered a rumor for the time being. However, what with there being a video game adaptation of the famed “Ju-On: The Grudge” films out there (reviewed here by Matthew Hardstaff), I suppose it isn’t too unbelievable for someone to go even further and tackle a Sono film for the console.

Thanks to Todd Brown at Twitch for the story.
