Tomie vs Tomie - Tomohiro Kubo (2007)
My favourite tales of Junji Ito's classic manga series 'Tomie' are when the number of Tomie's become so great, they start battling one another, using men and women alike to ensure that they are the only Tomie alive. This is the last Japanese incarnation of Tomie to grace the silver screen, and until Paul Schrader complete's his version, this is it.
Shinobi No Mono 2: Vengeance - Satsuo Yamamoto (1963)
My favourite film in the series, we find Goemon Ishikawa, played by the late, great Raizo Ichikawa, living a life of simplicity with his wife and child. When tragedy strikes, he's quickly drawn back into the clandestine world of the ninja, bent on stopping Oda Nobunaga from conquering all of Japan. It features some amazing battle sequences and some brutal encounters! And plenty of ninja action!
