Oh, My Buddha! - Tomorowo Taguchi (2010)

Star of such films as "Tetsuo the Iron Man" and "The Most Beautiful Night in the World", Tomorowo Taguchi goes from actor to director with his sophomore film "Oh, My Buddha!" based on the semi-autobiographical book by Jun Miura the film follows a trio of teenage boys as they make their way to a tropical youth hostel looking for free sex, but who end up discovering music, friendship and love instead.


　

Women in the Mirror - Yoshishige Yoshida (2002)

Japanese New Wave pioneer Yoshishige Yoshida, director of the genre-defining "Eros Plus Massacre", tells a multi-generational story in his 2002 film "Women in the Mirror. Yoshida's wife and longtime collaborator Mariko Okada stars as the eldest of three women whose lives have all been touched by the tragic bombing of Hiroshima in 1945.
