Discotek to release “Sukeban Boy” by the director of “The Machine Girl”

by Chris MaGee

Discotek Media is one of the many companies that is slowly making some obscure Japanese exploitation titles available on Region 1 DVD having released such titles as “Sexual Parasite” and “Bohachi Bushido”. Well, now they’ve snagged distribution rights for Noburo Iguchi’s 2006 teen sex comedy “Sukeban Boy” and will be releasing it “before the end of the year”.

“Sukeban Boy” follows a teenaged boy who has been either blessed or cursed with the face of a beautiful girl. Expelled from every boy’s school he’s eventually enrolled into a girl’s school by his biker parents. The low budget/ low brow hijinx get going when Sukeban Boy has to face the schools delinquent girl gangs: the Pantyhose League, the No-Bra League, and the Full Strip League.

Iguchi’s latest shlockfest “the Machine Girl” has been a huge hit here in Toronto, so fans of that film will be anxious to check this one out.

Thanks to Anime News Network for the news.
