by Chris MaGee

Word from Twitch today that Miki Satoshi's latest film "Adrift in Tokyo" has snaggeg tow awards at this year's Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal. The modern day road movie about a down on his luck, debt ridden student played by Jo Odagiri who accompnies a debt collector, played by Miura Tomokazu, on a walk through Tokyo before the latter turns himself into the police for the murder of his wife won not only Beest Script, but also a special mention from the jury for its two stars.

Congratulations goes to Satoshi-san and his cast and crew. Here's hoping that we see a DVD release of "Adrift in Tokyo" released on these shores soon. And for all the award winners follow the link above to Twitch.
